Swim Africa is an ISO Certified swimming institution located at Montessori Learning Centre (MLC), Grevillea Grove, Westlands. It was founded in 2001 by Mr Jame Muiruri, who is the current Director.

Swim Africa was founded as a provider of swimming coaching which is still its primary business. Our coaches are hired through a transparent and competitive process, the best being selected to join the team. They uphold the facility’s reputation of providing a comprehensive and  thorough 30- minute training session. The heated pool ensures that training is efficient in any weather.

The operations at Swim Africa have been so successful that in 2017, a new branch was opened in Lang’ata area, Nairobi.Apart from coaching, Swim Africa also organizes and facilitates:

Sports camps are majorly held over the holidays and are open to children between 1-14 years during breaks from school. They are an inclusive sporting fiesta that incorporate swimming and different sports such as tennis, hockey, soccer, cycling, badminton , sand pit play, Gp Karting and horse riding et cetera.

Inter-school swimming galas are frequently organized to enhance the swimming skills and encourage healthy competition among the participants. The winners in different categories are awarded trophies and medals. One of the notable swimming galas was held in February 2017  in partnership with the prestigious Braeburn International Schools.

Inter-school tournaments often involve various schools within Nairobi. The past years have seen interest in the tournaments grow. The tournaments have attracted the participation of several schools such as Montessori Learning Centre, Kabete Junior Academy, Kibera Kindergaten  and Pearl Hearts Kindergaten amongst many other schools.

We also introduced themed swimsuits that are available for purchase. The thoughtful swimming pieces are children friendly since the graphics are captivating.
